The study of law is a source of justice, truth, and a source of science and legal knowledge. It attracts bright and keen minds that seek to understand and interpret the laws and regulations that govern our lives. It is a source of strength and inspiration for those who believe in the power of law in building a better and more just society.

The College of Law was established at Al-Ayen Iraqi University (AUIQ) for both morning and evening studies, and it accepts graduates of the preparatory school from the biological, applied, scientific, and literary branches.

The college acceptance rate will be 64.5.

As we enter the third decade of the twenty-first century, and in a sincere attempt by our college to keep pace with scientific and technological advancement, a series of procedures and decisions have been adopted. Through these efforts, we aim to raise the academic level of our college and remain up to date with the latest developments in the field of legal sciences on national, regional, and international levels.

Although the College was established in 2023 and welcomed students in the academic year 2023–2024, it has been working diligently to develop students' skills, stay informed of the latest in the world of law and its various applications, and make use of modern technologies in the process. You are worthy of this responsibility, and as the nation’s leadership envisions, you are the knights of change who will contribute—along with others—to building and elevating our beloved country to join the ranks of developed nations.

College Mission

To disseminate legal awareness throughout society to ensure the implementation of laws, regulations, and instructions, and to prepare well-qualified law graduates who possess legal thinking skills, research capabilities, and professional competencies necessary to take on legal responsibilities. The college aims to supply governmental and non-governmental institutions with such qualified individuals and to prepare lawyers capable of achieving justice within society.

One of the college’s top priorities is to focus on the academic rigor of the legal subjects taught and to fully prepare graduates to carry the responsibility of this legal mission.

Accordingly, the college accepts only graduates of the scientific and literary branches of high school with high academic averages. Thus, the graduate will be equipped with the legal knowledge necessary to practice in any legal field, whether in the public or private sector.

It is worth noting that public service ethics are part of the legal studies program, specifically within Administrative Law, which addresses the duties and responsibilities of public employees.

In the field of Political Science, the college works to prepare specialized cadres with political knowledge that enhances political culture and analytical ability to define and assess political situations at all levels, as well as the ability to manage state affairs. The program also aims to connect theoretical study with real political developments and events.

The college seeks to disseminate legal awareness in society and offer distinguished academic programs in the field of law, supported by legal knowledge, skills, and professional ethics. These are delivered by qualified faculty capable of meeting local and regional standards, with the goal of providing the public sector with capable professionals and meeting the legal workforce needs of the private sector.

The college is committed to fully preparing graduates to carry this legal mission. This is done through a strong emphasis on the academic quality of the subjects taught, as part of the college’s scientific, national, and humanitarian mission to serve society and actively contribute to democratic development and the establishment of human rights and public freedoms in Iraq
